SSIMED Golf Tournament Raises $16,000 to Benefit Connecticut Children's Medical Center

Windsor, CT, July 25, 2008 - This year’s SSIMED Annual Charity Golf Tournament held on July 17 raised $16,000 for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. 124 golfers turned out for a perfect day of golf followed by a cocktail reception and dinner.

This year the golfers were joined by Damon Scott from WTIC FM .  Damon spent some time driving around visiting with our golfers and taking shots with his oversized golf club.  At the end of the day he announced the winners and presented their awards.

Matt Kabrick, a patient of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center also joined in the fun this year. Matt and his father played with our Client Support Manager TJ Burnett and Robin Vidito from CCMC.  During the reception, Matt shared with the golfers his experiences at CCMC and expressed appreciation on behalf of all CCMC patients and family for the donations given to the Center.
